great article
I think this article highlights the US ruling class's deception and fakery in selling this phoney 'withdrawal' and examines the history of the occupation's systemic violence in Iraq. They destroyed a society, demolished its education, health and social services, and then call it peace.
There is also a bipartisan agreement in Australia, just like the similar consensus between republicans and democrats. The mis-named 'Liberal' Party are actually the ultra-conservatives, just like the US republicans. The 'Labour' Party are the conservatives masquerading as friends of the working class, just like the American democrats. The Australian duopoly also promotes the deception that Iraq is now a stable democracy.
The ruling elites and their intellectual flunkeys who promoted this war should be hauled before an international criminal court and prosecuted for war crimes.
