WHY GRAY HAIR?
Where i support the sisters and have asked for help from both assoc and colleauges for the sisters unbeknownst to many Suffice that the only issue i have with this approach is why limit the chances of gathering support?
What i mean by this, we must be clear about what the words and thoughts GRAY HAIRED brings to mind?
Where the name may give some an idea of POWER, in my opinion the use of that LABEL creates the opposite..
Why u may ask? All people who may wish to support this endeavor are not GRAY HAIRED. Granted there will be many who simply won't give a darn and rize to the occassion..And i pray they will.
However, there are in my humble OP no need for more LABELS/and or suggestive types of reasonings.
Simply, there are two women in the Mississippi prison system accused, convicted and wrongfully imprisoned(something i have worked for 2 decades to prevent)
To add insult, one of the sisters Jamie, is suffering thru a near death medical condition, which has been documented as medical mistreatment, and therefore abused.
As a supporter of the efforts to achieve the release of the sisters i take offense to anything that takes the focus off of them. My office, before we left for Cuba had been getting calls around the clock asking...TWo are those people , Who are the gray hairs and what does gray hair have to do with the sisters..One told my sec that it is an insult?
i accept that i am not in the mix of this and thus perhaps some may disregard my opinion here..However as always and
i am simply in disagreement will not attend but will support as always with my resources
